EPF Claim Status Online: A Step-by-Step Guide to Checking the Status of Fund Withdrawals

Securing financial security and making retirement plans are essential components of each working person’s life. In India, the Employee Provident Fund (EPF) is a crucial tool for retirement savings. This savings plan is designed to help workers make the most of their working years and secure a comfortable retirement.

The Employee Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has implemented additional online and offline ways for workers to monitor their EPF account balances in recognition of the importance of doing so.

Employees used to have to rely on their employers’ yearly EPF statement and other information. But with the most recent developments, it’s now easier and more convenient to check the status of a claim and the EPF balance.

It is simple for EPFO members to monitor the status of their money withdrawals or claims online or offline. The Umang portal, the EPF website, and the UAN member portal are the three alternatives available in an online manner.

The easiest way to find out the status of your provident fund claim is to use the UAN member site.

To check the status of your EPF claim or to make withdrawal or transfer requests via the UAN member portal, follow these steps:

1. Enter your UAN and password to access the UAN Member Portal.

2. Select the tab for online services.

3. Choose “Track Claim Status,” the third option from the drop-down menu.

4. A screen will show the current status of your online withdrawal/transfer claim.

Use the official EPFO website to verify the status of your EPF claim by doing the following steps:

1. Go to https://passbook.epfindia.gov.in/MemClaimStatusUAN/, the official EPFO website.

2. A redirect will take you to the website for the EPF Passbook & Claim Status.

3. Type in the captcha code, EPFO member password, and UAN.

4. To see the status of all your claims, including those that have been approved/settled and those that are pending/in-process, click the Claims tab.

Use the Umang app to verify the status of your EPF claim by following these steps:

1. Download and launch the Umang application.

2. Look for EPFO in the area under “All Services.”

3. From the Employee Centric Services menu, choose Track Claim.

4. Type in your UAN.

5. Select “Get OTP.”

6. After entering the OTP, press the “Submit” button.

7. The screen will display every claim submitted for the UAN.

Members may also use the offline mode to verify the status of their EPF claims by sending an SMS from the cellphone number associated with their UAN. They have to send the SMS in a certain format. As an example, the format in use at the moment is EPFOHO UAN LAN, where LAN denotes the preferred language for receiving the status.
