In the Japan NCAP crash test, the 2024 Suzuki Swift receives an impressive 4-Star safety rating

Maruti Suzuki is preparing for the upcoming introduction of the updated Swift hatchback in India. Remarkably, the fourth-generation model’s crash test data was just released by the Japan NCAP. The vehicle has a remarkable 99% safety record, earning it a 4-star certification.

It received an 81% collision safety rating, or 81.10 points out of 100, indicating that it did a good job of protecting passengers in front and side collisions. Additionally, it performed well in the automated accident emergency call system, earning a flawless 100% score, and in preventive safety performance, attaining a 99% score. The new Suzuki Swift received a total score of 177.80 out of 197, or 90%.

The most recent Suzuki Swift model received a noteworthy 4-star rating after undergoing a rigorous set of crash tests in Japan. In these experiments, velocities between 50 and 60 km/h were used. The vehicle was put through front-side collision testing at 55 and 64 km/h, and its Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) performance was assessed. It also passed through a test for side impact. In all these tests, the hatchback’s front was damaged, but the pillars were unharmed.

The Suzuki Swift demonstrated its great performance by receiving an amazing 99% on preventative safety measures. Additionally, its automated accident emergency call system scored a flawless 100%. This technology ensures quick reaction and help in the case of an accident, improving emergency readiness and offering post-collision support. The car’s strong safety features and cutting-edge technology, which lower the danger of crashes and protect passengers, are highlighted in the findings, which were issued by Japanese safety officials.

In Japan, the Swift 2024 model is equipped with an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) package that provides a range of safety features. These include road sign recognition, adaptive high beam aid, lane keep assist, dual sensor brake assistance, adaptive cruise control, and a driver monitoring system. The vehicle also has a blind spot monitor, rear cross-traffic warning, and a 360-degree camera.

However, several of these features, including ADAS, will be absent when the all-new Swift is brought to India. However, the car’s outward and interior design components should be the same as those of the global-spec vehicle.
