In the midst of the Iran-Israel conflict, Elon Musk makes a mysterious plea for peace

In view of the continuing conflicts between Russia and Ukraine and Iran and Israel, entrepreneur Elon Musk said on Friday that rockets should be used to reach the stars rather than to hurt other people.

The CEO of SpaceX and Tesla said, “We should send rockets not at each other, but rather to the stars,” in a post on X that included a picture of a rocket.

His remarks coincide with recent strikes that Iran has carried out on Israel, purportedly in response for an attack on their embassy.

Following the October 7th, 2015 Hamas assault on Israel and the ensuing fighting, Musk visited Israel for two days last year. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave him a tour of an Israeli kibbutz that had been devastated in the attack.

Musk was also invited by Hamas to Gaza after his visit to Israel, so he could see the full scope of the damage inflicted by Israeli shelling.

Musk later discussed the possibility of a third World War, given that Russia and Ukraine had been at war since February 2022.

Musk said in October that “we need to figure out peace in Ukraine and I think we need to restore normal relations with Russia.”

He wrote on X, “World War III is a civilizational risk that we may not recover from.” “Will this result in World War 3? Prioritizing averting World War III is crucial.
