Is OnePlus TV Coming to an End? TV Models Removed From India Website by Company

Based on recent occurrences seen this week, it seems like OnePlus has left the Indian smart TV industry. Since expanding its line of smartphones and foraying into new markets like tablets and foldable phones, OnePlus has not released a new smart TV in the nation in some time. If that wasn’t enough, the company’s website no longer displays the product selection at all.

As of this writing, OnePlus’s official website does not include any of its TV models, thus indicating the company’s termination of the portfolio.

We sensed that OnePlus was up to something significant with its Indian product selection, and the first clues appeared in October of last year when a story said OnePlus and Realme were about to pull out of the smart TV market. According to sources cited in the story, Realme and OnePlus will both leave the TV category, which also covers the production side.

A major choice like discontinuing a product portfolio is not made lightly, and since OnePlus began operating under Oppo, operations have probably been more efficient with an emphasis on high-volume or well-liked items. While it’s not as if OnePlus TVs didn’t sell at all in the nation, even the company is aware of the distinction between offering TVs and phones.

After example, although most people change their phones every two to three years, a television is meant to last at least ten years. With OnePlus reportedly leaving the TV market, Xiaomi now has a commanding lead in the industry, followed by Samsung and a host of other manufacturers like Vu, TCL, and others.

However, OnePlus must make sure that its current OnePlus TV customers are not let down. They will need appropriate post-purchase assistance, such as providing them with replacement components for their TV models. With the TV Q1 series, OnePlus made its debut in the Indian smart TV market in 2019.

Since then, it has introduced a wide variety of TVs, including several affordable 32-inch models. If OnePlus has discontinued its TV operations in India, it need to announce the news to the public. Particularly for those who have invested their hard-earned money on their TVs, it is the very least it can do.

People may be less likely to purchase items from these new-age businesses moving ahead and may choose to remain with the more established names like Samsung, LG, and Sony, among others, since OnePlus and Realme are leaving this market and Xiaomi is unlikely to bring their laptops to the nation any longer.
