Nalin Negi promoted as BharatPe’s chief executive officer

Nalin Negi, an interim chief executive officer, was named chief executive officer (CEO) of fintech company BharatPe on Tuesday. After Suhail Sameer resigned from BharatPe in January of last year, Negi was named temporary CEO. Negi had joined the company in 2022 as its CFO.

According to the company, BharatPe saw an 182% rise in operational revenue in FY23 under his direction, and October 23 marked the first EBITDA-positive month. BharatPe will launch a hunt to find a new chief financial officer.

According to BharatPe, he would concentrate on steering the business toward its next stage of growth in his role as CEO. “We look forward to supporting Nalin Negi in his new role and are grateful for his tremendous contribution as the interim CEO,” said Rajnish Kumar, Chairman of the Board of BharatPe. Given his breadth of expertise in the fintech sector and the progress BharatPe has made under his direction, he is an obvious option to head the business.

“Going forward, our strategic focus will be on sustained profitability, scaling lending businesses, and launching new merchant-centric products,” said Nalin Negi, CEO of BharatPe. We are dedicated to strengthening the solid base, promoting financial inclusion, and providing value to our partners, stakeholders, and merchants.
