One of the top ten valued companies, HDFC Bank, leads gainers with Rs 1.71 lakh crore added to mcap

In keeping with a general upward trend in stocks, HDFC Bank and Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) emerged as the top gainers last week, as four of the top ten valued companies contributed Rs 1,71,309.28 crore to their market valuation.

However, the market value of six of the top 10 businesses suffered a loss of Rs 78,127.48 crore, with index leader Reliance Industries bearing the lion’s share of the losses.

The BSE benchmark increased by 596.87, or 0.81 percent, last week. On April 4, it reached an all-time high of 74,501.73.

Reliance Industries, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, Infosys, ITC, and Hindustan Unilever saw declines in their value, while Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), HDFC Bank, State Bank of India, and LIC emerged victorious among the top ten.

HDFC Bank’s market value increased by Rs 76,880.74 crore to Rs 11,77,065.34 crore. With the addition of Rs 49,208.48 crore, LIC’s value increased to Rs 6,27,692.77 crore.

Market capitalization (mcap) increased by Rs 34,733.64 crore for TCS to Rs 14,39,836.02 crore, and by Rs 10,486.42 crore for the State Bank of India to Rs 6,82,152.71 crore.

Reliance Industries’ value, meanwhile, fell precipitously to Rs 19,75,547.68 crore from Rs 38,462.95 crore. Bharti Airtel’s market capitalization decreased by Rs 21,206.58 crore to Rs 6,73,831.90 crore, while ICICI Bank’s market capitalization fell by Rs 9,458.25 crore to Rs 7,60,084.40 crore.

The market value of ITC dropped by Rs 873.93 crore to Rs 5,34,158.81 crore, while the value of Infosys dropped by Rs 7,996.54 crore to Rs 6,14,120.84 crore.

Hindustan Unilever’s market capitalization decreased by Rs 129.23 crore to Rs 5,32,816.81 crore.

According to market valuation, Reliance Industries is still the most valuable domestic company. TCS, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Bharti Airtel, LIC, Infosys, ITC, and Hindustan Unilever are the next companies in line.
