Rana Ashutosh was put up to be the MD of State Bank

Rana Ashutosh Kumar Singh was recommended on Wednesday by FSIB, the recruiting agency for directors of state-owned banks and financial institutions, to take the position of Managing Director at the State Bank of India (SBI). Singh is the SBI’s deputy managing director at the moment.

The biggest lender in the nation, SBI, is led by a chairman and has four MDs. The Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB) released a statement announcing the outcome of the screening process, stating that on April 23 and 24, the Bureau conducted interviews with 16 applicants.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will make the ultimate decision about the FSIB proposal. Bhanu Pratap Sharma, a former secretary of the Department of Personnel and Training, is in charge of FSIB.
