Reduced wait times for Mahindra Scorpio N models; search all models in your city

Nearly a year ago, the much awaited Mahindra Scorpio N unveiling caused a commotion. The long-running Scorpio N finally seems to have received a contemporary and feature-specific update from the manufacturer.

As was to be predicted, there was a spike in demand for the SUV, which led to a long line. But after a year, the wait time for the Scorpio N seems to be finally becoming shorter, even if it may still last up to a year or more, depending on the variation.

There are 5 trim levels for the Scorpio N: Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8, and Z8L. According to Autocar, the Z8 trim presently has a 13-month wait time, which is followed by the Z4 trim, which has a one-year wait time. The wait time for the basic Z2 model is around 6-7 months for the gasoline model and 7-8 months for the diesel type. The wait time is from 10 to 12 months for the Z6 model, while it is just 2 to 3 months for the top-tier Z8 L automatic option for a petrol engine. This model has a 7–8 month waiting time for the diesel engine option.

It is important to note that since November of last year, when it was somewhat more than 2 years, the waiting time for different Scorpio N models has drastically lowered.

The Mahindra Scorpio N has two engine choices: a 2-liter turbo-petrol engine with the capacity to produce 203 horsepower and a 2.2-liter turbo-diesel engine with 175 bhp. Either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox is connected with the units. Rear-wheel drive is standard on the SUV. However, the business provides a diesel four-wheel drive alternative.

The Scorpio N offers wireless charging, a dual-pod instrument cluster with a MID unit, and Sony’s 3D sound system with roof-mounted speakers as convenience features. It also has six airbags, cruise control, numerous driving modes, and a start-stop button to make the trip safe.

The Scorpio N doesn’t have a direct competitor in terms of positioning, with costs ranging from Rs 13.06 lakh to Rs 24.51 lakh (ex-showroom, India). But it must battle with strong rivals like the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, Mahindra XUV700, and Hyundai Alcazar.
