Today’s stock market opening update: The Sensex, Nifty, and the rupee all open higher, with Reliance Industries, Vedanta, and Torrent Pharma in the spotlight.

On October 25, the Indian stock market began trading upward thanks to encouraging signals from across the world. The Nifty increased by 43.30 points or 0.22 percent to 19,325.10, while the Sensex increased by 148.70 points or 0.23 percent to 64,720.58.

On the Nifty, notable gainers were Hindalco Industries, Tata Steel, JSW Steel, Adani Ports, and Adani Enterprises, while notable losers included NTPC, Power Grid Corp, SBI Life Insurance, HDFC Life, and Bharti Airtel.

Monday’s trading session saw the Indian equities indexes close down for the fourth straight day due to sluggish international markets. The Nifty was down 260.90 points or 1.34 percent at 19,281.80 at closure, while the Sensex was down 825.74 points or 1.26 percent at 64,571.88.

LTIMindtree, Adani Enterprises, Hindalco Industries, Adani Ports, and UPL were among the Nifty’s worst losses; M&M and Bajaj Finance were among its biggest gainers.

Metal, Information Technology, Realty, Oil & Gas, Power, and Capital Goods all closed the day in the negative, while Auto, Bank, FMCG, and Pharma fell between 1-2 percent.

In contrast, the Indian Rupee started 12 paise higher on Wednesday at 83.07 per dollar compared to Monday’s closing of 83.19.
