What to Expect When Apple Releases Two New iPad Air Models

Two new iterations of the iPad Air 6 are apparently being developed by Cupertino-based electronics giant Apple. The business is reportedly working on four different models, two of which are cellular and two of which are Wi-Fi.

Apple produces two different iPad Pro models because it offers two different screen sizes. According to a 9to5Mac story, the firm may also introduce a more costly, higher-end model with superior specs or a bigger iPad Air to go along with the existing 10.9-inch variant.

A bigger or more expensive iPad Air may not make much sense given that the iPad portfolio currently includes two models of the iPad Pro, a low-cost iPad, and the iPad mini. The article did add, though, that Apple’s intentions can alter and that a second iPad Air model might not be released.

Many earlier rumors said that the company was developing a seventh-generation iPad mini and an 11th-generation low-cost iPad, neither of which were anticipated to bring about significant modifications.

The iPad mini 7 is reportedly coming shortly, but all of the new iPads are expected to be unveiled between now and WWDC 2024 in June, which is a significant amount of time. Ming-Chi Kuo recently said that the iPad mini and iPad Air models will arrive in 2024 rather than 2023, when Apple is expected to release new iPads.

In September, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg also claimed that Apple was developing a new iPad Air and that it may be available “soonish.” According to MacRumors, it is still unknown if a new iPad will be released before the end of the year.

It has been more than a year since Apple updated the iPad Air, which was last updated in March 2022. The iPad mini, while not being a device that Apple updates often, hasn’t been updated since September 2021, according to MacRumors.
