In order to steal the newest Apple iPhone 14 Plus, which begins at 7,000 yuan in China and Rs 76,999 in India at the time of filing, the lady reportedly chewed the anti-theft wire. After leaving the shop, the woman from the Fujian province was detained for 30 minutes.

The lady can be seen inspecting the phone and chewing the cord connecting to it in the store video. After finishing, the woman, who goes by Qiu, leaves the shop while keeping the phone in her purse.

Although an alert was first sent off, nothing was done since everything seemed to be in order. The lady also spent some time interacting with the phone’s display to maintain the appearance that everything was normal. When the chewed wire was discovered, the police located Qiu and detained her.

The woman informed the police that she had intended to buy a new phone but had been shocked by the price and decided instead to take the expensive one.
