X-Like Editing For Posts May Soon Arrive In Meta Threads; Details Here

Threads is being actively marketed by Meta as a possible alternative to Elon Musk’s X (formerly known as Twitter). In an effort to make the package a viable option, the firm continuously enhances the app (one step at a time). It seems the business is getting ready for another feature that would let users amend a discussion after making quotation postings online.

Alessandro Paluzzi, a mobile developer and reverse engineer of apps, claims that the business is working on giving users of the app the option to amend their contributions. Users may edit comments on Meta for up to five minutes after they are posted. The option can be seen in the menu to the right of “Who can reply” and “Hide like count” in the tipster’s screenshot. In the screenshot, a fourth option to remove the article is clearly discernible.

According to The Verge, Instagram Head Adam Mosseri said in July that an ability to modify posts on Threads is on the list of planned improvements. It seems clear that editable articles are preparing for a larger distribution given the new feature’s discoverability through the leaks channel.

As a result, it will directly compete with X, which includes post editing in its X Premium tier plans. It is unknown whether Threads will provide this capability without charge or if a premium membership with special advantages will be offered.

To mimic the Threads experience on the online platform, the business recently revealed a web version of the app. The social network company recently offered the ability to cite postings threads on the platform from the web, despite the fact that it launched with a number of capabilities lacking compared to its closest competitor X.

According to the source, the profile page on mobile devices offers the ability to move between profiles by long-pressing. Second, the firm provided consumers with online search capabilities. The feature is covered in greater detail here.
