A movie based on children’s book The Christmas Pig by J.K. Rowling is in the works

The well-known children’s book “The Christmas Pig” by author J.K. Rowling is going to be made into a movie.

Variety claims that a production firm has not yet been enlisted and that the concept is still in its very early stages of internal development.

First released in 2021 with pictures by Jim Field, Rowling’s production business Bronte already produced the BBC/HBO version of her adult detective series “Cormoran Strike.” Swift Films produced a number of promotional films for the project at the time of publishing.

In the tale, a little boy called Jack experiences the loss of his childhood toy, Dur Pig (also known as DP), on Christmas Eve when his stepsister tosses it out of the family vehicle. Jack rejects Christmas Pig (abbreviated to CP) because he misses his old reliable pal, even if he is given a substitute as comfort.

CP offers to save Jack’s favorite toy as a way to lift his spirits. After being shrunk down, the two are taken to the Land of the Lost, where they face great danger as they attempt to get back in touch with DP. They encounter a number of fantastical individuals along the road, including Santa Claus. Jack eventually accepts his loss and goes back to his bed with Christmas Pig at home.

The Harry Potter franchise, which includes novels, movies, theme park attractions, and commercial goods, is J.K. Rowling’s most well-known work.
