Abhishek Bachchan wins people over with his heartfelt gesture as he shelters his father Amitabh Bachchan from the mob
The renowned Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Award was given to Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan on Wednesday at an event at Mumbai’s Dinanath Mangeshkar Natyagrih. After the event, Abhishek Bachchan made a kind gesture by guiding his father through the throng. The gesture Abhishek made to his father struck a deep chord with a lot of people online.
Bachchan received recognition for his outstanding contributions to Indian film at the Mumbai event. Bachchan received the award from singer Usha Mangeshkar, the third oldest of the Mangeshkar siblings. Big B paid tribute to the late vocalist Lata Mangeshkar with sincere feelings.
In his remarks, Bachchan conveyed his sincere thanks and discussed his close relationship with Lata Mangeshkar. The 81-year-old megastar said, “Her love and affection for us were of a different kind whenever I used to meet Lata ji or when she used to meet my family.”
Bachchan and Abhishek honored Lata Mangeshkar with a moving tribute, asking for her blessings and placing flowers at her monument. In a moving Marathi poetry, Bachchan paid tribute to the melody queen, describing her as “Goddess Saraswati personified.”
The youngest Mangeshkar sibling, composer Hridaynath Mangeshkar, was in charge of the occasion.
