After missing a call from AR Rahman, Kapil Sharma sobbed all night, saying, “He called me for Chamkila.”

Internet users said that The Great Indian Kapil Show’s most recent episode was the best one ever. It starred Imtiaz Ali, Parineeti Chopra, and Diljit Dosanjh, promoting Amar Singh Chamkila, their newest movie. In a recent behind-the-scenes video, Kapil Sharma said that he had missed a call from AR Rahman, who expressed interest in having him in the movie. Rahman was just being nice, Kapil thought.

In the behind-the-scenes video, Kapil said that he was away from home when he missed a call from the movie’s composer, AR Rahman. “I met Rahman sir one day and he said, ‘I called you for Chamkila,'” Kapil recounted the encounter. I believe he was hoping I would perform a song or something. I found his conversation with me to be rather charming.

Imtiaz said that Rahman had brought up Kapil’s singing. “He said this to me in a serious manner,” Kapil said. “Sir, we were unable to communicate with each other because we were abroad.” Kapil expressed regret not being able to collaborate with AR Rahman, saying, “I felt really bad, I cried the whole night.” It was regrettable. Then Imtiaz remarked, “But Rahman sir said that we had only one more choice, which was you, if Diljit couldn’t do this film.”

News18, meanwhile, rated the movie 3.5 out of 5. “Diljit delivers a stupendous act as the protagonist,” said the movie critic. He puts his all into the role of Amar Singh Chamkila, who is a perfect fit for him. Despite his obvious hard work, he performs with ease. He will transform into Chamkila and sing his songs, which will bring pure delight to your heart. He even adds a whole new level of composure and a unique sense of reserve to certain very important situations. It is without a doubt the finest performance of his career. And in the midst, you’ll see him uniting with Chamkila; before long, it will be impossible to keep these two forces apart as they permanently alter Punjab’s music scene.
