Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, “Dream Girl” Hema Malini harvests wheat in her signature pose. See photos

Hema Malini, a Mathura-born actress who is now running for the BJP, was seen posing with farmers as they harvested wheat in the sweltering heat. Before the Lok Sabha elections, she ran a campaign that produced these images.

The seasoned actress hopes to serve in the Mathura Lok Sabha for a third time in a row.
“I visited the farms today to visit with the farmers that I have been seeing on a regular basis for the last ten years. They were delighted to have me among them and requested that I take pictures with them, which I did,” Mathura MP posted on X.

Hema Malini is the front-runner for the seat in Mathura, where the Jat minority accounts for around 35% of the voting base. For the next elections, Jayant Chaudhary of the Rashtriya Lok Dal has also endorsed the BJP.

Twelve times of the seventeen Mathura elections that have been place, candidates belonging to the Jat community have won. Mathura served as a BJP stronghold four times between 1991 and 1999. Nonetheless, the Congress party won the seat in 2004. Rashtriya Lok Dal’s Jayant Chaudhary was chosen to represent Mathura as a member of parliament in 2009.

Hema Malini was the BJP’s nominee in the 2014 elections, and she won. Actor Dharmendra, her spouse, ran a vigorous campaign on her behalf in 2019 and received a lot of popular support. Thanks to the government’s welfare programs, Hema Malini was able to regain her seat in 2019, signifying the lotus symbol’s victory in Mathura once again.

Political commentators surmise that the BJP would win over Jat supporters in Mathura and other western portions of Uttar Pradesh as well as in Haryana and other areas with the admission of RLD president Jayant Chaudhary in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Notably, in the 2014 elections, Hema Malini defeated Jayant in the Mathura seat by a margin of more than 3 lakh votes.

The most important state that sends the most MPs to Parliament—80—Uttar Pradesh—will be represented in all seven election rounds.
