Akshay Kumar Gives Credit To These Two Directors For Reviving His Bollywood Career

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is now going through a really difficult time in his career. His last hit was Sooryavanshi from 2021, and all of his most recent films have been box office duds. Even his most recent movie, Mission Raniganj, which came out a week ago, had a weak opening and is still having trouble financially. Many industry insiders have questioned if Khiladi Kumar, who used to draw sizable crowds to the theaters, has lost his magic. Not for the first time in his career, Akshay Kumar has experienced failure. From the late 1990s to the early 2000s, he had a drab time.

Akshay Kumar recently made an appearance on ANI’s podcast and discussed his professional history. He mentioned two directors and gave them the credit for resurrecting his career. When Akshay’s action films were underperforming at the box office, Priyadarshan offered him a part in the legendary comedy Hera Pheri, which completely turned around his career.

Akshay switched from action to humor because of Hera Pheri, and the public welcomed his new look. Priyadarshan is one of Akshay’s two heroes, along with Neeraj Vora. Phir Hera Pheri, the follow-up to Hera Pheri, was directed by Neeraj Vora and starred Akshay Kumar. Neeraj Vora, according to Akshay, helped him sharpen his comedic timing.

“It is astonishing that these filmmakers were able to offer the audience with such excellent tales. People are still drawn to these tales’ characters. During this time, my career advanced substantially, Akshay Kumar revealed in the podcast.

Currently, Akshay Kumar’s filmography includes the intriguing titles Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Skyforce, Hera Pheri 3, and the untitled Soorarai Pottru remake. One will have to wait and watch whether he can break the string of dud films with these next ones.
