As Lindsay Lohan’s son watched The Parent Trap, she broke down in tears

After giving birth to her first child, a son, with her spouse Bader Shammas, actress and model Lindsay Lohan is relishing her new role as a mom. Since then, the actress has opened up about a lot of fascinating aspects of her life, particularly those pertaining to her son Luai. During her recent visit to The Drew Barrymore Show on Thursday, Lindsay spoke about how seeing her kid watch her movie, The Parent Trap, made her feel emotional.

When the presenter inquired as to whether the actress sees her own films, Lohan said that she doesn’t actively watch them but does sometimes turn them on in the background.

“I put it on when someone wants to watch it and I’m around, like while I’m cooking in the kitchen, running upstairs, or working on anything else. Hearing my own speech on film is strange,” the woman said.

The Mean Girls actress had a fascinating experience when she saw her infant son watching one of her movies. Lohan said that her kid had been watching The Parent Trap on TV when she got home after ending her job.

“And I started crying because, really, he hasn’t even realized that’s my mother yet.” He was sort of just gazing at me, so I was thinking, Should I turn it off or just… Perhaps my voice still sounds as it did back then. It sounds like me, so I thought, maybe he knows, just a little bit, that it’s me. However, it was a very amazing occasion. The actress went on, “I took a ton of pictures of it.”

Actors including Dennis Quaid, Natasha Richardson, Elaine Hendrix, and Lisa Ann Walter starred in important parts in the 1998 film The Parent Trap.

The actress revealed her intentions to have a second child on the same program. Lindsay said she wishes her kid had a sibling as well, stating she feels fortunate to have one.

She also spoke about how she became a mother and said that her prayers during the filming of Irish Wish with Ayesha Curry—who is now her kid’s godmother—were what led to the birth of her son Luai.
