Celebrate eight years of Nil Battey Sannata, starring Swara Bhaskar and Pankaj Tripathi, with Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari

One of India’s most celebrated directors, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, has distinguished herself with her gripping narratives. All societal segments adore and greatly applaud her flicks, such as Nil Battey Sannata. Today marks eight years since the comedy-drama with Swara Bhaskar, Riya Shukla, Pankaj Tripathi, and Ratna Pathak Shah was released. When it was first released, it was well received by critics and audiences.

The movie was a hit both domestically and abroad, having its world premiere at the Silk Road Film Festival in Fuzhou, China. After that, it was shown at film festivals, including Cleveland International Film Festival and Marrakech International Film Festival. It was later exhibited at the BFI London Film Festival (LFF), where it was well-received.

Nil Battey Sannata was also remade in Tamil and Malayalam after the popularity of the Hindi original. Among the films that showcase Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s directing skill are Panga and Bareilly Ki Barfi.

Regarding work

For those who don’t know, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari has received appreciation for both Huma Qureshi’s Tarla and the Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor film Bawaal. These movies were written and co-produced by Ashwini.

Additionally, it is said that the writer-director is working on another female-focused picture with Kiara Advani and Kareena Kapoor Khan. The actors collaborated on the 2019 film Good News. Key characters in the movie are Diljit Dosanjh and Akshay Kumar as well. The crowd adored the friendship between Kareena and Kiara. It seems that they will be reunited in Ashwiny Iyer’s next film.
