‘Don’t Believe In Sulking,’ Ananya Panday Says After Liger’s Failure

Ananya Panday and Ayushmann Khurrana’s performance in Raaj Shaandilya’s Dream Girl 2 has received a lot of positive feedback. The movie has been doing well at the box office and has received plaudits for its clever humour. Her earlier movie, Liger, in which Vijay Devarakonda also starred, had a different outcome due to the film’s lackluster reception from viewers. The actress discussed how the project’s failure affected her in her most recent interview.

Puri Jagannadh helmed the 2022 sports action movie Liger, which was made by Dharma Productions. Vijay Devarakonda portrays an MMA fighter in the movie. Tanya was paired with Vijay Deverakonda in the casting process. In India, the movie took in roughly Rs. 48.58 crore.

Ananya Panday also shared her thoughts on her time spent with the Dream Girl 2 crew. Ananya said, “It took me some time to acclimate to the reality that there’s a guy who looks like a female next to me in the frame. I was questioned whether I was unsure about my part since I shared the screen with Ayushmann Khurana, who also portrayed the character of Pooja. I thought I was talking to a female when Ayushmann used to wear such clothing.

The actress said that she had to focus on getting her appearance and accent perfect in the movie while discussing the difficulties she had throughout the production. Ananya portrays Pari, a Mathuran girl. “I wanted to see how a girl from Mathura would be as I had lived in my Bandra mansion up to that point. The ability to learn from everybody around you, in my opinion, is the greatest strength of being an actress, said Ananya. The actress said that her character’s point of view is comparable to the audience’s, which is “reacting throughout” and is unaware of anything.

Ananya Panday said that working on a “situational comedy” like Dream Girl 2 will benefit her in her next film, Call Me Bae, where she would be seen doing a lot of “slapstick comedy.” According to her, “I learned a lot from the people on this set and imbibed that in my show.”
