Kangana Ranaut, a Bollywood actress and the BJP’s candidate for the Mandi Lok Sabha seat in Himachal Pradesh, urged citizens to use their right to vote, take part in the festival of democracy, and “make a difference in our country’s future” on Friday.
She posted on X, saying, “Every vote matters! Today marks the first phase of voting — let’s show up in numbers and cast our votes for a brighter India!”
The Mandi seat is seeing a rare electoral fight whereby Congress MP Vikramaditya Singh, a descendant of the former royal dynasty, is facing Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut. The contest revolves around the themes of “royalty” and “stardom.”
