“I have done so little,” a shocked Chiranjeevi says in response to receiving the Padma Vibhushan award

After receiving the Padma Vibhushan, actor Chiranjeevi sent a video greeting to his fans and well-wishers expressing his gratitude for their love and support. One day before of Republic Day, on Thursday, the Padma Awards 2024 were revealed. Chiranjeevi remarked, “After hearing this news, I became speechless,” in response to the honor.

“I’m really appreciative, humbled, and overwhelmed. All I have is the unwavering affection of my friends, the audience, and my biological siblings and sisters. I owe you this life and this very moment. I’ve always made an effort to show my appreciation in whichever manner I can. However, nothing is ever sufficient. Throughout the previous forty-five years of my work, I have made every effort to amuse you on film. On receiving the second-highest civilian honor in the nation, he said, “I tried to help the needy by taking part in relevant social and humanitarian causes.”

After expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chiranjeevi said, “I have done so little.” However, you have bestowed upon me great honor and recognition. You have my eternal gratitude for your love and support. I would like to express my gratitude to the Indian government and our esteemed Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji for granting me the title of Padma Vibhushan at this proud time. I’m grateful. 2024 Padma Awards
In addition to Chiranjeevi, Vyjayanthimala received the Padma Vibhushan award. Among the awardees this year are composer Pyarelal Sharma, vocalist Usha Uthup, and actor Mithun Chakraborty.

More about the career of Chiranjeevi
One of the most popular performers, Chiranjeevi has appeared in over 160 films, spanning Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Kannada. This is his second Padma Award; the first was the Padma Bhushan in 2006. The actor, who is set to feature in Vasishta of Bimbisara fame’s Vishwambhara, almost took a break from acting.

Following his 2007 film Shankar Dada Zindabad, he took a break from acting in an attempt to pursue politics, founding the Praja Rajyam Party in 2008. But he made a comeback to the big screen in 2017 with Khaidi No 150.

Vijetha, Indra, Shankar Dada M.B.B.S., and, most recently, Bholaa Shankar are among his finest works. On his 68th birthday last year, Chiranjeevi revealed the details of his next movie, Mega 159.

Another aspect of Chiranjeevi’s fame is his philanthropic endeavors. He established the Chiranjeevi Blood and Eye Banks and the Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust (CCT) in 1998. It rose to become the top receiver of blood and ocular donations in the state.
