‘I’m Glad, Don’t Want To Play A Guy Who…’: Imran Khan on Not Making His Comeback With Spy Series

Imran Khan’s acting return is much anticipated by fans, however, he recently said that it would not happen anytime soon. Imran said in an interview that he’s thinking about going back into acting, but he hasn’t been able to find the appropriate project to put him on film.

According to reports, Imran will return to acting on OTT in 2023 with a spy series directed by Abbas Tyrewala, who directed him in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. In a conversation with Film Companion, however, Imran disclosed that the program was canceled.

Imran also discussed why he doesn’t feel bad about the series ending. “After everything is said and done, I’m relieved that things didn’t work out. He said, “I don’t want to play a character who uses a gun to solve problems.”

The actor said that he dislikes films that glorify gore and brutality without any real consequences. “I find it unsettling that violence is being sexualized, fetishized, and made glamorous. There are ways to depict violence that have nothing to do with morality. Cinema uses violence and action as a language, and Imran said that there is a method to depict these things in a manner that makes the viewer feel their weight.

Additionally, Imran expressed discomfort with things like heroes “shooting seven people in the head and their heads exploding to music.”.

In the 2015 film Katti Batti, which starred Kangana Ranaut, Imran was last seen on large screens. He has acted in movies like as Kidnap, Delhi Belly, Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola, Break Ke Baad, Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, I Hate Luv Stories, Luck, and others.
