ISPL: Saif Ali Khan is ecstatic to take over as Tigers of Kolkata’s brand owner

The Tigers of Kolkata’s co-owner and actor Saif Ali Khan explained why he makes a strong brand owner.

At a press conference held in Mumbai, Saif Ali Khan expressed his excitement. It’s an excellent method for developing technique from the ground up. When we used play field as well, we were told—and my father used to say this—that learning how to catch with a tennis ball is the right way to go about things because if you don’t, the ball would bounce out of your fingers. Everyone begins by playing tennis ball cricket. The goal is to allow for discovery by going down on the ground and providing people with a platform and the ability to play cricket like this in such a vast nation with such a huge population. It’s fantastic, in my opinion.”
He went on, “My heart belongs to the city of Kolkata. My mother is from Calcutta, as is half of my family. And, you know, cricket players make up the other half. For this team, I believe I’m an excellent brand ambassador. I can’t wait to get started on March 6. We will be there to cheer and observe as we play our first game.”
As a co-owner of the Tigers from Calcutta, Saif expressed his excitement at being here and mentioned the long-standing relationship between cricket and entertainment.
The more time passes, the more so it is. It would be fantastic for cricket in general to give people a platform to start finding individuals on a very basic street level and ideally elevate and put them into the public type of limelight. We will find some interesting new talent and offer them a platform.”
“The sport of tennis ball cricket is very thrilling. A ball that has tape applied to its side will begin to swing as if you were facing Vasim Akram. You must first learn how to catch a tennis ball with your hands so that it doesn’t bounce out of them if you want to learn how to play cricket.”
Interestingly, the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL), India’s first tennis ball T10 cricket competition held inside a stadium, revealed Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, a Bollywood star couple, as the Kolkata team’s owners in January.

The first-ever Indian Super League (ISPL) is set to begin in Mumbai on March 6, 2024, and run through March 15, 2024. Six competing teams—Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, and Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir)—will compete in this exciting exhibition of cricketing talent.
The Indian Super League (ISPL) seeks to transform sports entertainment. In addition to the exciting on-field action, the league will provide a lively music festival with performers from all around the nation. There will be live acts, captivating drone shows, amazing laser displays, and DJ Chetas playing the newest tunes, guaranteeing a perfect fusion of entertainment extravaganza and cricket acumen.
