Israel is under fire from Gigi Hadid for holding “children as prisoners of war”

Supermodel Gigi Hadid is still using her enormous platform to express her support for Palestine in the middle of the war between Israel and Palestine.

The supermodel decried Israel in a string of photos on her Instagram account on November 24.

The 28-year-old celebrity, whose father Mohamed Hadid is Palestinian, attacked Israel in remarks on the agreement struck between Hamas and Israel over the return of hostages, according to aceshowbiz.com.

The example discussed Ahmed Manasra, a young Palestinian man with schizophrenia and depressive diagnoses. After stabbing and wounding two Israeli residents in Pisgat Zeev in 2015, Ahmed was taken into custody.

“The only nation in the world that holds children as prisoners of war is Israel. ABDUCTION, RAPE, TORTURE, HUMILIATION. PALESTINIAN MURDER. Year after year after year. In a since-deleted tweet, Gigi wrote, “BEFORE Oct 7 2023.”

In another post, Gigi said that “Israel authorities detain an average of 500 – 700 Palestinian children every year.” She also posted it again. The youngsters were allegedly “beaten,” “strip searched,” “arrested at night,” and “isolated in solitary confinement,” according to the post.

As Gigi noted in the next slide, “Israel is the ONLY country in the world that systematically prosecutes minors in military courts and accepts confessions obtained by coercion.”

“Israel sees any Palestinian as a ‘terrorist,’ any person supporting Palestinian rights as ‘antisemite,’ and any Jew that is opposed to the government’s actions as’self-hating,’ even telling them to denounce their Judaism,” Bella Hadid’s sister continued, addressing her nearly 80 million followers. So, except from Israel, is everyone dishonest and in error? If it weren’t sinister and terrifying, it would be humorous.”

Gigi and Bella are both outspoken advocates for Palestine in light of the current hostilities in the Middle East. Bella even went so far as to claim that her family received death threats because they supported Palestine. She posted on Instagram, saying, “My phone number was leaked, I receive hundreds of death threats every day, and my family feels threatened.” However, I can’t take it anymore. There is no room for fear. Our silence is not an option for the people and children of Palestine, particularly in Gaza. They are courageous; we are not.”

In her statement, Bella said, “We need to keep pressure on our leaders, wherever we are, not to forget the urgent needs of the people of Gaza, and to ensure that innocent Palestinian civilians are not the forgotten casualties of this war.”

She ended by saying, “I stand with humanity, knowing that peace and safety belong to us all.”
