“Kapil meri bahut taang kheechta tha paise toh sabse zyaada leti hai par comedy hum karte hain,” says Ankita Lokhande, remembering the humor Circus days

Ankita Lokhande, well-known for her role in the contentious reality series Bigg Boss 17, recently made an appearance on the most recent podcast episode featuring Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa. She spoke about her experience on Bigg Boss 17 and her connection with her in-laws, among other things, while accompanied by her spouse Vicky Jain.

Bharti’s husband spoke about Ankita’s Comedy Circus days during the conversation, and how Kapil Sharma used to often bemoan the fact that the Pavitra Rishta actress was paid more than other actors.

One of the Comedy Circus authors, Haarsh Limbachiyaa, said that Ankita Lokhande participated in the comedy program while filming Pavitra Rishta’s role as Archana. He went on to say that Ankita had only filmed two episodes. Joking, Bharti recalls the period when Ankita was enjoying herself immensely after Pavitra Rishta’s triumph. “We were told, bhai Ankita Lokhande aayi hai,” she claims. and as part of jokes, we would sit there with strange makeup on, and Ankita would show in looking chic in leather trousers.”

“Ankita was such a huge star and we used to write for her and we would feel Ek jhalak mil jaaye,” Haarsh said. She was the partner of Kapil Sharma (bhai). Ankita remembers that she was supposed to go to South Africa, therefore she had to leave the performance. The show had to end halfway for me.

Bharti cuts in, saying, “Really? I thought you left the show because of attitude issues?” with a brief giggle. Ankita explains, saying, “I was filming every day during that period for both programs, Bharti. Bharti pata hai, I used to work for Pavitra from 9 to 9 and then go to Comedy Circus’s venue to shoot with them all night. It was very difficult for me to prepare two acts in one night.”
Bharti continues by disclosing that Ankita received the highest salary. “Aur sabse mehengi,” Ankita remarks.

“Woh toh Kapil ne harr jagah bola hai, paise toh humein nahi pata kitna leti hoon par comedy karrti nahi,” the Manikarnika actress remarks. He would often pull my leg.
Haarsh goes on to say that she received a higher salary than Kapil bhai. He would argue that if we are the ones doing the humor, why are they being paid so much?

For those who don’t know, Shweta Tiwari took Ankita’s spot in 2011. She was Kapil Sharma’s companion and the comic king. Years later, she appeared as a guest on The Kapil Sharma Show to discuss daily soap operas and promote her movie Baaghi.
