In a PTI interview, the filmmaker said that she still needed to find the ideal screenplay for her next movie. However, Aamir had left to supervise a screenplay competition. Kiran believed it was a terrific chance for her to direct, in addition to being a great tale, when he offered her this one-liner screenplay concept when he returned.

Rao said she was working on a screenplay for her next movie, but she still hadn’t come up with the perfect concept. After Aamir Khan returned after supervising a screenplay competition, that was different. “Aamir told me a one-liner about two girls on a train and how they get switched,” she stated after returning home. I was hooked after that. I saw that this was a fantastic chance for me as well as a fantastic narrative.

She went on to say that while she wouldn’t normally create a narrative like this, she felt she could add something unique to it. The filmmaker said that although though the movie touches on a wide range of topics, they deliberately tried to keep it lighthearted and enjoyable.
