Koffee With Karan: Kiara Advani reveals Sidharth Malhotra said Shershaah lines during the proposal, had a nephew on photo duty

After much waiting, Kiara Advani finally revealed all the facts of her actor husband Sidharth Malhotra’s romantic proposal on Koffee With Karan (KWK) season 8 episode 7. She and Vicky Kaushal, her co-star in Govinda Naam Mera, spoke about their own love lives while sharing the KWK sofa. Speaking about Sidharth’s proposal, Kiara said that he asked her to marry him using a passage from their 2021 movie Shershaah. Kiara Advani claimed to have sensed that Sidharth would pop the question when she was visiting Rome with his family. She said that before he proposed to her, she had sought for her parent’s approval.

Sidharth sent his nephew to take pictures.

Kiara explained how it went, saying, “Well, it was the first place we went to on that trip.” His nephew, who was meant to snap pictures and record the event, accompanied us when he brought us to this Michelin-starred restaurant. I’m tired since I just landed and came along for the ride with them. I was really very exhausted. Additionally, he planned the work. He’s done this supper under the candles on top. After supper, we return. Sid takes me on a stroll when all of a sudden a violinist appears from the bushes and begins to perform. His nephew then stealthily records our video from the bushes, and Sid gets down on one knee and pops the question. I felt so overpowered. Then he begins reciting Shershaah’s words. “Dilli ka sidha sadha launda hu (I am a simple boy from Delhi)” he said, laughing at the whole Shershaah discussion.

Wedding of Sidharth and Kiara

In February of this year, Sidharth and Kiara exchanged vows in front of their loved ones and close friends. The couple’s idyllic royal wedding took place in Jaisalmer’s Suryagarh Palace, and it was followed by receptions in Mumbai and Delhi. Manish Malhotra, Juhi Chawla, Karan Johar, Shahid Kapoor and wife Mira Rajput, and other chosen guests attended the closely guarded nuptials.
