Love Storiyaan: A Film by Karan Johar A Valentine’s Day special series including six epic love stories
The Love Storiyaan television series has been announced by Karan Johar. The director said on Instagram that, in honor of Valentine’s Day, he has compiled a number of true love tales that are reminiscent of the Modern Love series. Somen Mishra has developed a six-part series that is a touching record of real-life love experiences. Six real-life couples from all throughout the nation are featured in the series, sharing their inspiring tales of love, hope, happiness, and overcoming all obstacles.
Six filmmakers have contributed to the tales’ representation: Vivek Soni, Collin D’Cunha, Hardik Mehta, Shazia Iqbal, and Akshay Indikar. Love Storiyaan, a Dharmatic Entertainment production, is inspired by true stories featured on India Love Project, a social media community started by former journalists Priya Ramani, Samar Halarnkar, and Niloufer Venkatraman. Executive producers Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra. Amazon Prime Video will offer the series for streaming.

For us, Love Storiyaan is more than simply an accurate rendition of true love tales. According to Karan Johar of Dharmatic Entertainment, “The series explores love in all of its manifestations and paints a beautiful picture of connections that go beyond the ordinary.” As a producer and director, I have had the honor of narrating a number of love tales that have helped define the genre for Indian cinema over the years. But what really stood out to me about India Love Project, who assisted us in selecting these stories, was how genuine and individual each one was. These are genuine tales of individuals from various backgrounds who overcame enormous obstacles to achieve true love and showed courage and perseverance by overcoming boundaries related to gender, culture, religion, and even war. This is our first attempt at telling the genuine tales of real people to viewers, and I’m thrilled that the series will be able to reach a large audience both in India and beyond because to our long-standing partnership with Prime Video.
On February 14, Love Storiyaan will be available on Amazon Prime Video.
