Last night, filmmaker Farah Khan hosted a gathering at which her friends, singer Sonu Nigam and music director Anu Malik, spontaneously performed. From 2004 to 2005, Sonu Nigam, Anu Malik, and Farah Khan served as judges for the first season of Indian Idol. Sonu and Anu sang a rendition of “Dekh lo idhar toh aik baar main hoon na” from Farah Khan’s film “Main Hoon Na” at the celebration.

Legendary poet Javed Akhtar was seen seated between Sonu and Anu in a party video. Then, Farah got all of her pals to appear in the video: Rajkummar Rao and his spouse, Huma Qureshi, Manushi Chhillar, actor Siddarth, Dipika Kakar and her husband Shoaib Ibrahim, Farah’s brother Sajid Khan, and actress Patralekhaa. Along to appreciate Sonu and Anu’s musical performance was music director Salim. The video ended with a surprise cameo from Farah herself.

Farah said that the meal was supposed to be for four people, but it ended up being a get-together with all of her friends, which made the evening enjoyable. She conveyed her happiness for these spontaneous gatherings. “The best get-togethers are the spontaneous ones!” she captioned the photo. All of your friends show up for supper when you cook for four, plus a few more #aboutlastnight #friends.”

Recently, Farah opened a YouTube channel to showcase her culinary abilities. Her first recipe is her well-known Yakhni Pulao. The legends singing in Farah Khan’s home thrilled the fans.

Since Dipika’s participation in the most recent season of “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa,” in which Farah served as one of the judges, the TV stars Shoaib and Dipika have become close to Farah. Sania Mirza, a former tennis player and close friend of Farah Khan, also remarked on the video, referring to it as a “gathering of stars.”

The last time viewers saw Farah Khan in a judging role was on “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11,” when Manisha Rani won. It’s interesting to note that on April 30, “Main Hoon Na,” Farah Khan’s directorial debut, will commemorate its 20 years of existence. Her producing company Red Chillies Entertainment, made its debut with the 2004 release of “Main Hoon Na.” The film was a great hit and led to Shah Rukh Khan working with her on “Om Shanti Om” and “Happy New Year.”
