On Tuesday, the teaser for the biopic Main Atal Hoon, which is based on the life of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and stars Pankaj Tripathi as the former Indian Prime Minister, was released. With the message, “It’s time to witness the rise of India’s greatest visionary!” the National Award-winning actor posted the same image on social media.

In the teaser, Atal is heard saying to LK Advani, “A lotus has to bloom amidst this swamp of parties,” when they are talking about the condition of filthy national politics. Following then, the screen fades to depict lotuses, which are symbolic of the Bharatiya Janata Party, an electoral emblem that was established by both leaders in 1980. The announcement that the Main Atal Hoon trailer would debut on Wednesday, December 20, concludes the teaser.

Under the direction of National Award-winning filmmaker Ravi Jadhav, the planned biopic was originally scheduled to be released on Christmas Day, December 25, in honor of Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s 99th birthday.
