Megan Thee Stallion was sued by a former cameraman for “harassment” at work. Details Within

Rapper Megan Thee Stallion is the target of a lawsuit brought by Emilio Garcia, a former cinematographer, who claims Megan has created a hostile work environment and violated many labor regulations, including paying unpaid wages and harassing staff members.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Garcia, who collaborated with the rapper from 2018 until 2023, listed a number of complaints in the lawsuit filed to Los Angeles County Superior Court.

Among the accusations is Garcia’s assertion that he was humiliated when Stallion had sex in a moving car while he was with him in June 2022 while on tour in Spain. Garcia said in the complaint that “I was embarrassed, mortified, and offended throughout the whole ordeal.”

He further claims that Stallion imposed strict work rules, such as being on standby around-the-clock and depriving him of fair pay and breaks, and fat-shamed him.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Garcia claims that his contract was terminated in 2023 in retribution for voicing concerns about the hostile work environment and underpaid pay. This is included in the case as well.

According to Ron Zambrano, a partner at West Coast Employment Lawyers who is representing Garcia, “employees who work for celebrities should be afforded the same sort of workplace free of harassment that any other worker in any other industry is legally obligated to have,” underscoring the gravity of the situation.

In response to the charges, Stallion’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, allegedly said, “This is an employment claim for money — with no sexual harassment claim filed and with salacious accusations to attempt to embarrass her.” He described the complaint as being primarily driven by financial gain. Zambrano, however, denied this assertion, claiming that the case does, in fact, address a hostile work environment based on sex.

Regarding working conditions in the entertainment sector, Zambrano emphasizes that people should be held responsible for their unlawful conduct regardless of their famous position, and this court case serves to expose these concerns.

The Hollywood Reporter said that the court cases are anticipated to progress in the next months.
