On her days off, singer IU has a habit of spending six to seven hours a day at the dinner table

The comedian singer IU has shared some humorous details about her day off.

On the YouTube discussion program “Just an Excuse,” IU made an appearance as the featured guest of the week! with Yang Se Chan, the co-host, and MC Yoo Jae Suk.

“On my days off, I just sit at my dining table,” the singer said.

“But you’re not sitting there the whole day, right?” Yang Se Chan enquired.

“I sit there all day, for 6-7 hours,” was IU’s response.

According to IU, being still for extended periods of time is beneficial, according to allkpop.com.

“I had no idea that other people didn’t do it all the time. However, I’ve been shooting a new drama for about a year now. And I kept being told I was weird on that shoot. People often go back and forth from the set to their waiting rooms and the bathroom in between takes.

The singer went on, “But until everyone returns to the location for the next cut, I remain in the same area while everything is being set up for the next scene. I was unaware that such behavior was unusual. Yet I think it’s better for me.

MC Yoo Jae Suk said, “I always imagined that you sat at home with your guitar, just strumming random tunes even on your days off,” after hearing about IU’s hobby.

“I’m not really like that, unless I really have to write new songs for an album,” IU said.
