“Outlander: Blood of My Blood” expands the cast by six people

News that ‘Outlander’ fans will love. Six new actors have joined the cast of “Outlander: Blood of My Blood,” the prequel series, according to its creators.
As previously disclosed, the show will chronicle the lives of Jamie’s parents, Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater) and Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy), as well as Claire’s parents, Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine).

Sally Messham (A Small Light, The Hunt For Raoul Moat) as ‘Mrs Fitz,’ Ellen’s maid at Castle Leoch and Murtagh’s aunt, is a new cast member. According to reports, Sadhbh Malin (Conversations with Friends, Love Rosie) will play ‘Jocasta Cameron,’ the feisty youngest child of the MacKenzie clan; Ailsa Davidson (Heathers, Halo) will play her sister ‘Janet MacKenzie,’ the fifth and final MacKenzie sibling; and Terence Rae (The Cyclops, Black Dog) will play ‘Arch Bug,’ who works as a bodyguard for Clan Grant.

The characters established in the 20th century include Harry Eaton (Extraordinary, Eastenders) as “Private Charlton,” Henry Beauchamp’s fellow soldier and companion, and Annabelle Dowler (The Reckoning, It Takes Two) as Julia’s employer at the War Department.

In Scotland, work on the ten-episode prequel to the well-liked historical drama Outlander on Starz started in February. Sam Heughan plays Jamie Fraser in the first series, while Caitriona Balfe plays Claire Fraser. According to a statement, Diana Gabaldon, who consults on both episodes, is the inspiration for the franchise.

The lives and relationships of Claire’s parents, Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine), as well as Jamie’s parents, Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater) and Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy), will be examined in “Blood of My Blood.” The ten-episode series will center on two parallel love stories, one involving Jamie’s parents in the Scottish Highlands in the early eighteenth century and the other involving Claire’s parents in World War I-era England.

The last eight episodes of Outlander’s seventh season will premiere in November. The show celebrates its tenth anniversary this summer. The eight-episode season, which will be the last to air on television, is now under production.

For both shows, Matthew B. Roberts will function as executive producer and showrunner. Ronald D. Moore and Maril Davis will also work as executive producers. “Outlander” was produced by Moore and Davis for television under the Tall Ship Productions banner. Diana Gabaldon will serve as a consulting producer in addition to executive producing on behalf of The Story Mining & Supply Company.
