The actor-turned-director has started a number of programs and given assistance to those with special needs and those in financial need throughout the years. Now, Raghava Lawrence has created a brand-new charitable movement that he has termed Maatram, which translates to “change” in English. On the eve of Labor Day on Wednesday, he declared the movement and stated that its goal was to support the nation’s farmers, whom he referred to as the backbone of the country.

“Hello, admirers and friends! With great pleasure, I announce that the #Maatram adventure has begun under the concept “Service is God” via our charity trust on this particular occasion of “Labour Day.” I personally will start by giving ten tractors to farmers, who are the foundation of our country. I’m extending an invitation to everyone to come along and help us on our altruistic mission to help those in need. Let’s show that our dedication to serving others is more than just words by doing so. “I express my gratitude for all of your blessings and support,” he said on his X account.

In the post, he also uploaded a video of the 10 tractors he had bought to give free to the farmers. He then said in another tweet that the first tractor had already been given to a farmer from the Villupuram area by the name of Rajakannan.

There are some intriguing initiatives that Raghava Lawrence is working on. He is working on two films: Hunter, directed by Venkat Mohan, and Benz, directed by Bakiyaraj Kannan. Alongside Vetrimaran, he will also feature in a high-budget, yet-to-be-titled story.
