Regarding Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s divorce, Sharmila Tagore BREAKS SILENCE, SAYING “She Needed Time to Cool.”

In a recent episode of Koffee With Karan 8, Sharmila Tagore spoke candidly about the difficult divorce between Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh. The seasoned actress joined Saif on Karan Johar’s program to discuss Saif and the Pataudi family in-depth before disclosing details regarding Saif and Amrita’s split. The family wasn’t having a good time, according to Sharmila. She continued by saying that at the time, Amrita and the children, Sara and Ibrahim Ali Khan, had to be accepted by not only Saif but the whole family.

Saif said that Sharmila was the first to learn about his plan to split from Amrita. “I would want to mention that prior to the split, my mother was the first person I talked to. He added that it was quite helpful when she took a long breath, paused the call, and said, “I am with you if that’s what you want.”

Sharmila went on, “No breakup is easy when you are together for such a long time and you have such beautiful children.” Then, it’s not in harmony. I am aware that everyone is hurting at that point, so maintaining unity is tough. Although that stage wasn’t great, I tried. However, that’s beside the point; they sorted things out since she needed some time to calm down.

It’s not just about avoiding; there are a lot of additional factors to consider. We were really attached to the kids, but Ibrahim was only three at the time, so it wasn’t a joyous moment for us. In particular, Tiger had a lot of affection for Ibrahim and would remark, “That’s a good lad.” That time with him was not given to him. We so felt doubly bereaved at losing both Amrita and the two children. Thus, it’s simply not him, and we also had to get used to everything else,” she said.

In October 1991, Saif wed Amrita; however, they parted ways in 2004. Saif has been spending time with his kids, Sara and Ibrahim, for the last three years. These days, Sara and Ibrahim are often seen hanging out with Saif alone. They also frequently accompany him, Kareena Kapoor, and their boys, Taimur and Jeh Ali Khan, on significant occasions like birthdays, Raksha Bandhan, and Diwali.
