Salman Khan House Firing: Allegedly Performed Attack For “Publicity,” Trained In Bihar

According to Crime Branch sources, the accused fired bullets outside Salman Khan’s Bandra Galaxy Apartments on April 14 in order to get “media coverage and publicity.” The sources further said that their goal was to incite fear.

On April 16, two citizens of Champaran, Bihar, Vicky Gupta, 24, and Sagar Pal, 21, were taken into custody in Bhuj, Gujarat, and transported by air to Mumbai.

Following the incident, Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of mobster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is now incarcerated, took to Facebook to take credit for the fire outside Salman Khan’s home.

Sources said that the inquiry showed Anmol Bishnoi was using internet calling to communicate with Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal. For the shooting, the two accused were given an advance of Rs 1 lakh and were promised further compensation of Rs 3 lakh upon completion of the assignment.

The crime branch sources claim that Sagar Pal received training on how to handle the weapon used in the assault in and around his West Champaran area.

The accused further said during the inquiry that they had visited Salman Khan’s Panvel farmhouse four to five days prior to the shooting event. Nonetheless, it was agreed that Bandra would be the location of the firing.

“The defendants performed a’recce’ of Salman Khan’s Panvel property. Their plan was to only frighten him, not to kill him. In Bihar, the testimonies of both families have been documented. Seven people from Haryana and other states have been summoned in for interrogation, which is still going on, according to a Mumbai Crime Branch officer cited by news agency ANI.

Vicky Gupta’s brother, Sonu Gupta, is also being questioned about the case. Sonu is a laborer who works in Chandigarh. Call logs show that on April 13, the day before the assault, Vicky and his brother answered calls until late at night.
