Sanya Malhotra advocates for neurodivergent individuals and works to increase acceptance of them

Actress Sanya Malhotra said during autism awareness month that it’s important to find neurodivergent individuals a structured yet adaptable learning environment that focuses on life skills and independent living.

April is Autism Awareness Month, a time to spread knowledge about autism, a developmental disorder caused by abnormalities in brain chemistry.

Sanya, who recently appeared in the film “Sam Bahadur,” was present for the launch of “So-Hum Smiles,” a unique educational facility for people with neurodivergent traits.

This NGO-funded school is dedicated to giving neurodivergent individuals outstanding care and assistance.

According to Sanya, the school is more than simply a place for treatment since it also represents a mission of compassion, empowerment, and inclusion.

The actress expressed her happiness at the launch of the center, saying that it is urgently needed to serve neurodivergent people. For these individuals, finding a flexible but regulated learning environment that emphasizes independent living and life skills is crucial.

Finding these children and adults a place in society is crucial, not just for the children but also for the betterment and advancement of society as a whole. I have no doubt that the center will positively influence many lives,” Sanya said.

Regarding her career, Sanya’s next project is “Mrs,” an adaptation of the Malayalam film “The Great Indian Kitchen.” International attention is already being drawn to the Arati Kadav-directed film. It was also just shown in the 2024 Hawaii International Film Festival.
