Suhani Bhatnagar, Aamir Khan’s co-star in Dangal, dies at the age of 19

Suhani Bhatnagar, who portrayed a young Babita Phogat in Aamir Khan’s 2016 film Dangal, has unexpectedly gone away. She was just nineteen.

According to a report from Zed News, on Saturday morning, February 17th, at the age of 19, Suhani Bhatnagar, who was well-known for her performance in Dangal, unfortunately died. The teenage actress was reportedly receiving treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), New Delhi, after fighting an ailment for a while.

Media reports state that she was hospitalised as a result of a drug response. Suhani has been undergoing therapy for a long time for a buildup of fluid in her body.
Aamir Khan honoured Suhani on both X and his production company’s Instagram account. “We are deeply saddened to hear about our Suhani passing away,” the writer stated. We send our deepest sympathies to her mother Poojaji and the whole family 🙏🏽. Suhani is such a gifted young woman and a great team player that Dangal wouldn’t have been the same without her.

In 2016, Suhani Bhatnagar debuted as an actress in the sports drama biography Dangal, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Based on the Phogat sisters and their father Mahavir Phogat, the movie stars Aamir Khan, Sakshi Tanwar, Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Zaira Wasim, and Aparshakti Khurana. Suhani portrayed Babita Phogat’s younger self in it. Dangal was a huge critical and financial hit when it came out.
The film Dangal tells the narrative of Mahavir Singh Phogat, a former wrestler who, in defiance of societal stigmas, chooses to train his daughters for the Commonwealth Games in order to accomplish his ambition of winning a gold medal for his nation. Though first doubtful, the girls gradually develop an interest in wrestling and win national titles.
