Sushant Divgikar spoke about the difficulties he had during the first two days of recording Cora for “Marvel’s Wastelanders: Star Lord”

There is no denying Sushant Divgikar’s brilliance, which spans several disciplines. ‘Marvel’s Wastelanders: Star Lord,’ a podcast series produced by Marvel Entertainment and Audible, features Cora, a Regillian recorder, with his voice. Saif Ali Khan and Vrajesh Hirjee, two actors, also provide their voices to the podcast. Sushant has worked extensively with audio, but this is the first time he has played the recorder. His second partnership with Audible is this one.

“I am doing something like this for the first time that is not a living being,” Sushant said to Outlook. I believe it is fair to say that Audible prefers me. I’m taking on the role of a fictional character for the second time. I performed the role of want for Audible for the first time in “The Sandman,” and once again, Desire is just a want or a feeling. As a result, I played an emotion while playing a recorder this time. I consider it a blessing that they cast me in such challenging roles because it shows that they have faith in me. So that’s terrific for me because I’m thrilled to play a hard part given how much riyas I do for my voice.

He has had a terrific year so far in 2023 since in January he represented India as the first drag queen at DragCon in the UK. The former “Bigg Boss” star testified on behalf of the transgender community as a panelist at the esteemed Harvard University India Conference in February.

When asked how he saw his trip in retrospect, Divgikar said, “I am very glad and appreciative for being here. For me, it has been an exciting voyage (he chuckles). I have had a lot of hardships, but I have learnt from them, and this is something that neither my guru nor any institution or university can teach me. My life, which has taught me a lot, is my greatest guru. So, for that, I am very grateful, and who would have imagined that a someone from my middle class background would end up portraying a Marvel character? I am really grateful for both the chance and my experience. You wouldn’t have liked it if I had made my acting debut as a Marvel character since my riyas are what have allowed me to accomplish what I have for my voice. Over time, you pick up all this knowledge. I’m planning to debut in playback singing and Bollywood. Additionally, I’m debuting on OTT.

Sushant said of the difficulties he had when portraying Cora, “With this character, I had to confront loads of difficulties since it’s not a person. A recorder, that is. It is comparable to artificial intelligence like Alexa, for instance. I had to enter that area, but I was unable to do so for the first two days. It took me two days before I felt the role when I went to the studio and signed the contract. I disliked it and just taped two episodes. The third episode was easily recorded after I requested and recorded the episodes once again. If we don’t acknowledge our errors, we develop arrogance and complacency. The worst critic I have is myself.

You have to picture the complete scene and all of your co-stars aren’t there, he said. The pulse must be felt. Since this character is experiencing these emotions, this is how I must respond. We must visualize it since we can’t see it. So those are the difficulties in carrying out this kind of action.
