Teja Sajja of HanuMan says that this is the reason he almost lost his right eye during filming

Hanuman, Teja Sajja’s most recent film, is doing well at the box office and became the first blockbuster of 2024. Recently, the low-budget movie joined the exclusive Rs 100 crore club. After HanuMan was released, Teja Sajja gained notoriety for his role in the movie.

Since then, he has been busy speaking with various media outlets and sharing behind-the-scenes details from the set as well as the creators’ intentions for the series. The actor discussed his shooting experiences and how he hurt his right eye in a recent interview with Zoom.
Indeed, I did! I suffered many fractures. The wounds are still present. I damaged my right eye’s cornea,” he remarked.

The actor went on to explain how his eye was hurt and the “painful” experience he had while filming HanuMan. “We used a red lens for my character which scratched my cornea,” the actor said. Subsequently, a large amount of dust and stones entered the eyes. It hurt a lot. Before I can see well, I have to get surgery. Undoubtedly, however, I really enjoyed every second of the filming. People discuss about sweating and donating blood. We really carried it out. HanuMan is an honest, painful, and loving labor.

Teja also shared some good news throughout the conversation, letting us know that the HanuMan sequel is in the works.

HanuMan’s Box Office Results
The Telugu version of the movie made a significant portion of the film’s Rs 89.8 crore nett earnings in its first week, according to Sacnilk.com. With Rs 22.5 crore, the Hindi version of the movie is the second-largest contribution to the overall receipts.

Regarding the movie
The soundtrack for the movie was created by Anudeep Dev, Krishna Saurabh, and Hari Gowra. In addition to Teja Sajja, the film features Vinay Raj, Raj Deepak Shetty, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Amritha Aiyer.

Even in the Hindi version, the movie outperformed the Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif movie Merry Christmas at the box office when it was released on January 12.
