The actor Ranveer Singh asks KJo to release these Rocky Aur Rani deleted scenes through OTT

With its enormous success, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani continues to conquer the theaters. After a 7-year absence, Karan Johar returns to directing with this movie. The ensemble cast of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani includes Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, the iconic Dharmendra, the always elegant Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi. Rocky (Ranveer), a Punjabi youngster, and Rani (Alia), a smart Bengali journalist, fall in love despite their numerous cultural differences and attempt to persuade their families.

In the movie, Shabana Azmi portrays Rani’s grandma, while Dharmendra and Jaya Bachchan represent Rocky’s grandparents. Surprisingly, the narrative shows an intriguing link between Rocky’s grandpa and Rani’s grandmother that they had in the past. Though the movie has received a lot of positive feedback from viewers, did you realize that it was edited? Yes, in order to improve the plot and fit the love drama inside the appropriate theater runtime, Karan Johar had to cut off a number of scenes and songs.

The crew recently organized a press conference in Mumbai to acknowledge the movie’s success. Cast and crew members spoke extensively about their movies. But it was at this time that Ranveer Singh voiced his displeasure with the choice to cut the movie. The romance drama’s initial running time was three hours and ten minutes. To make it approximately 2 hours and 48 minutes, Karan Johar had to omit a few parts.

Rocky saying Rani “Love hai to sab hai” was one of the deleted sequences. Another lost scene was the full-length closing song Kudmayi, which is shown in a box next to the credits.

Ranveer Singh asked KJo to take into account incorporating the deleted scenes in the OTT version, saying, “Log demand kar rahe hai ke Rani ka joh theme song tha, and the deleted scenes woh dekhe (People are demanding that they want to see Rani’s theme songs and all deleted scenes)”. Karan Johar answered: “We’ll see.”

Churni Ganguly and Tota Roy Chowdhury, both Bengali actors, had significant parts in the movie. Manush Nandan and Nitin Baid, respectively, handled the cinematography and editing, while Pritam is responsible for the music composition. Additionally, spectacular cameo appearances by celebrities like Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Ananya Panday, and Sara Ali Khan provide the audience with a nice surprise.
