Now that their baby has arrived, their delight has multiplied. More people are aware of Lee Byung-hun because of his role in the critically acclaimed thriller survival series Squid Game on Netflix. Another well-known actress is Lee Min-jung, who has starred in movies like Cyrano Agency, Wonder Radio, Searching for the Elephant, and Switch.
The MSteam Entertainment source broke the good news to the public, saying that Lee Min-jung and her daughter were doing well. This afternoon, Lee Min Jung gave birth to a daughter. According to Soompi, the statement said, “The mother and daughter are in good health, and the family is happy.” According to the agency report, Lee Byung-hun was with his wife when she gave birth. Lee Byung-hun stayed by his wife’s side despite his demanding schedule of shooting the forthcoming second season of Squid Game.
In August 2013, Lee Byung-hun and Lee Min-jung tied the knot in Seoul. Before making the leap, the pair, who had begun dating in 2006, dated for six years. In barely two years, Lee Joon-hoo, their son, was born. According to The Korea Times, the couple revealed their second pregnancy in August, and for the next several weeks, Lee Min-jung shared snippets of her prenatal experience.
On November 24, during the 44th Blue Dragon Film Awards held in Seoul, Lee Byung-hun spoke about how happy he was to become a father for the second time. In his speech of acceptance after winning the Best Actor award for Squid Games, Byung-hun said that the pair had given their unborn child the affectionate moniker “Birdie.” “Next month is my second child’s due date. We have been lovingly referring to her by her pre-birth moniker, Birdie. He was quoted by The Korea Times as saying, “I want to dedicate this honor to my wife, son, and Birdie, who will be watching from home.”
Regarding Squid Game 2, Gong Yoo, Wi Ha-jun, Lee Jung-jae, and Lee Byung-hun will all be making comebacks. Lee Min-jung, meanwhile, last appeared in the Korean series Once Again.
