Vidya Balan discloses that she had a “witch-hunt” in Bollywood due to a “personal issue.”

In an effort to promote her new movie “Do Aur Do Pyaar,” in which Pratik Gandhi co-stars, Vidya Balan is going all out. In a recent interview, the actress reflected on a challenging period in her career and took a trip down memory lane. The actress spoke candidly about how a personal problem someone had with her led to a witch hunt in Bollywood.
If I’m being really honest, there was a witch hunt.

It resulted from a private matter involving one of my acquaintances. However, it’s OK. Today, I am better for it. You needed to meet my mom. She would check on me over the whole outfit every time I went out for an appearance, and she would ask whether it was acceptable if I dressed that way. I would suddenly get insecure, as I could sense she was anxious. To be honest, it seemed out of proportion given the weight on my body, the clothing I was wearing, and the question, “Kisi ke baap ka kya jaata hai?” Indian Express was informed by Vidya Balan.
The actress said that, after just two years in the business, she was unable to handle the toxicity. Vidya said, “Today, I do exactly what I want, wear exactly what I want, and don’t care what anyone has to say,” but she was able to endure it all. As a result, “oh wow” has been spoken by everybody.
Additionally, Vidya Balan said that she had previously felt uneasy playing the second fiddle, which ultimately helped her get roles in significant films like No One Killed Jessica, Ishqiya, Paa, The Dirty Picture, and Kahaani.
