Although Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover were well-known for their on-screen friendship, their relationship quickly soured after a dramatic argument on a plane. Thus, their longtime fans were intrigued to learn that the two would be working together once again on a new project. Although the two actors didn’t collaborate for six years, Sunil said in a recent interview that they kept in contact and sometimes even got together.

Sunil was asked whether there was “awkwardness” between them since they were meeting for the first time in a long time for the forthcoming event in a chat with Lallantop Cinema. In response, Sunil said such wasn’t the case. “We would talk sometimes,” he said. It’s not as if we didn’t communicate; we kept in contact. We also met,” he said. Despite not disclosing the specifics of their reconciliation, Sunil said, “These kinds of things do occur occasionally.”

In response to more questions about his reconciliation with Kapil Sharma, Sunil said, “This was a publicity stunt for this show for six years,” with a straight face.
Sunil talks candidly about his health as well. “In the first days, I was offering thanks to God for restoring my life. But after a few days, I was my usual self again. Everything has returned to normal. It’s not as if someone who takes care of their health would never become sick or have a similar fear. I take care of myself like I used to, even if I don’t give it any thought.”

A brawl broke out between Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover in 2017 as they were traveling from Australia to India. According to reports, Kapil struck Sunil during the argument while intoxicated. Sunil departed The Kapil Sharma Show and broke up with Kapil shortly after. They’ll now both be appearing on the Great Indian Kapil Show together.
