Watch the teaser for Ulajh, in which Janhvi Kapoor plays an IFS officer entangled in a web of deceit, loyalty, and conspiracy

Janhvi Kapoor wrapped up filming her much awaited political thriller Ulajh back in September 2023. In the Sudhanshu Saria-directed movie, she co-stars with Gulshan Devaiah and Roshan Mathew. Despite her patriotic heritage, Janhvi plays an IFS officer caught up in a foreign scheme in the movie. The movie’s teaser is now available.

In the teaser, Janhvi seems to be researching a technical partnership for a hydrogen electrolyzer used by a Nashik-based firm to produce green hydrogen. In the teaser, Gulshan Devaiah’s speech on treachery and commitment to the country plays in the background as she risks her life and becomes entangled in the situation.

“Enter the realm of falsehoods, duplicity, and treachery,” stated Janhvi, releasing the trailer. Early on in their Instagram Stories, Beau Shikhar Pahariya and sister Khushi Kapoor shared the teaser.

Janhvi has already discussed her part in the movie. She had made the following statement: “As an actor, I am always looking for scripts that make me break out of my comfort zone, and portraying a character based in the celebrated world of the Indian Foreign Services was just that. When I was approached with the Ulajh script, it instantly attracted me.” As the movie’s title implies, there are a lot of layers, feelings, and constraints to both my character and the plot, which makes them both tough and intriguing at the same time. I’m overjoyed that Sudhanshu, who approaches this genre in such a novel way, has cast me in this unique part for the public to witness.
