When Madhuri Dixit pursued Aamir Khan while holding a hockey stick

Dil, which came out in 1990, is regarded as one of Aamir Khan and Madhuri Dixit’s most memorable movies. The plot of this romantic comedy centers on Raja and Madhu, who marry against the desires of their parents after falling in love with one other. The fathers of Raja and Madhu do all in their power to keep the pair apart.

Another reason Dil is recalled is for a joke Aamir pulled on Madhuri. In a prior interview with a media outlet, Aamir had spoken about it. During the filming of Dil, the actor had informed Madhuri that he could tell someone’s destiny only by glancing at their hands. She gave him the benefit of the doubt and held out her hand for him to see. Aamir pretended to examine Madhuri’s hand before remarking that she is very sentimental and has a quick belief system.

Before Madhuri could ask any more questions, he explained that this is why it’s so simple to make fun of her, like he is doing right now. After saying this, Aamir spit at her hand. The Dhak Dhak girl, as Madhuri is often referred to her fans, didn’t find this humorous, the Dangal star later stated. She pursued Aamir and proceeded to beat him with a hockey club.

When asked what was the naughtiest thing she had ever done during a Q&A session in 2016, Madhuri also recalled this particular event. I’ve pursued Aamir Khan with a hockey club on my Dil sets since he pulled a joke on me, the actress said. The most impolite thing I’ve ever done is this.

For her flawless performance in Dil, Madhuri Dixit won the Filmfare award in the Best Actress category. In the Best Actor category, Aamir Khan was also nominated for this prize, however he was unsuccessful. Dil had a brilliant ensemble in addition to Aamir and Madhuri, including Anupam Kher, Saeed Jaffrey, Deven Verma, and others.

Aamir and Madhuri collaborated on another movie, Deewana Mujh Sa Nahin, in addition to Dil. Only a few of the songs from this movie remain in people’s memories since it underwhelmed at the box office.
