The Oscar-winning singer said that embracing oneself for who she is was greatly aided by her new song, “Lunch.” Billie talks about being in a relationship with a person of the same sex in the song.It was at Coachella earlier this month when she debuted the song.

Some of the song’s lyrics include, “I could buy you so much stuff / It’s a craving, not a crush,” and “I could eat that girl for lunch / Yeah, she dances on my tongue / Tastes like she might be the one.” She told Rolling Stone, “I wrote some of it before even doing anything with a girl, and then wrote the rest after,” in reference to the song and her sexual orientation.

“I have always loved girls, but I just didn’t understand until last year,” she said.
In November 2023, Billie Eilish’s sexual orientation became widely known. On the red carpet at one of Variety’s award shows, she spoke about it. She spoke of having a sincere interest in women. This discovery generated a lot of discussion.
