Many of us believe that water is the only thing our bodies can use to stay hydrated. While water is the primary means of obtaining hydration, certain foods contain more water than others and may provide the body with more hydration than a glass of water. Sometimes we are thirsty, but we don’t want to drink any water. During these times, eating meals high in water content may satisfy your thirst and provide your body with enough water and vital minerals. The following meals will keep you more hydrated than a typical glass of water.

1. Watermelon

Watermelon is a very hydrated seasonal fruit with a 90% water content. Watermelons are also very low in calories and rich in beneficial elements that support general health due to their high water content.

2. Tangerines

Oranges are a fantastic source of water and vitamin C. An orange is high in fiber and other essential nutrients, plus it has about half a cup of water in it. Oranges include potassium and vitamin C, which support the body’s defenses against free radicals and strengthen immunity.

3. Cherries

Peaches are a high-nutrient, hydrating fruit. They are high in potassium, vitamins A, B, and C, and make up 90% water. Additionally, they include antioxidants in them that help the body fend off infections and shield it from seasonal ailments.
