Amid tensions between Israel and Iran, Elon Musk says, “Send rockets to stars, not at each other.”

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, said on Friday that rockets should be fired at stars rather than one another in response to reports of Israeli strikes on the Iranian city of Isfehan in Central Iran.Early on Friday morning (local time), Israel conducted missile attacks against Tehran, according to an ABC News report quoting a senior US official.

The authority was unable to verify whether locations in Syria and Iraq were also affected, however. The news was released soon after explosions were reported in the Central Iranian province of Isfahan by local sources.

Musk’s X tweet was made immediately after reports of explosions in Iran.

In his social media post, he said, “We should send rockets to the stars instead of at each other.” “I think it would be better if world leaders just sent each other memes and the public voted on who wins,” Musk said, adding, “It would be preferable to war.”

Following numerous explosions heard near the airport and an army installation in the Iranian city of Isfahan, official television announced early on Friday morning that Iran’s air defense systems had been activated in several areas.

According to Israeli military officials, Iran conducted an attack against targets near Israel on Saturday of last week, during which it fired a torrent of over 300 unmanned drones and missiles. This is when the missile launches occurred.

The Syrian Army’s positions in the southern Syrian governorates of As-Suwayda and Daraa were also the subject of strikes, according to reports from Syrian media on Friday morning. The local news source As-Suwayda24 said that the assaults targeted Syrian military radar stations in Daraa, southern Syria, near Qarda and Izraa.

According to the Jerusalem Post, residents in Iraq’s Mosul and Erbil claimed to have heard the sounds of fighter planes on Friday early in the morning.

Officials said that all but a few were intercepted by Israel and its allies, which include the US. More over six months had passed since October 7, when Hamas militants attacked Israel, and the Israeli military had begun shelling the Gaza Strip.

Musk has already publicly shared his opinions on the conflict that is still going on and the unstable circumstances in the Middle East.

The Tesla CEO has already come under criticism for his support of a strongly antisemitic stereotype on X and for the platform’s total inaction in combating hate speech and widespread misinformation in the midst of the conflict.

Due to the app’s inability to address anti-Semitic remarks and statements made by Musk, several advertisers, including Apple and Disney, stopped funding the microblogging site.

Afterwards, however, he traveled to Israel, where he had meetings with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog.

Additionally, Musk had said that X will donate any advertising and subscription income “related to the Gaza War” to Israeli hospitals as well as the Red Cross/Crescent in Gaza.

The sky above Jerusalem was lit up by explosions during the Iranian invasion of Israel.
